Friendship
In an increasingly complex world, Rotary provides one of the most basic needs; the need for friends and fellowship.

Business Development
One of the original reasons for Rotary’s beginning was everyone needs to network. Rotary consists of a cross section of every business community and its members come from all walks of life. Rotarians help one another and others.

Leadership Development
Rotary is an organization of leaders and successful people. Serving in Rotary positions is like a college education in leadership. Learning how to motivate, influence and lead leaders.

Citizenship in the Community
Membership in a Rotary Club makes one a better community citizen. The average Rotary Club consists of the most active citizens of any community.

DO YOU HAVE A FEW MINUTES TO FIND OUT ABOUT ROTARY? The Rotary club of Lane Cove has produced a video    "What in the world is Rotary"

Think big, seek best practices, lead boldly
As Rotary leaders embark on the 2010-11 year to continue the work of Building Communities – Bridging Continents, they can look to RI President Ray Klinginsmith for support to make Rotary more effective and enjoyable for all.

All Rotarians should seek out best practices to build upon what works, Klinginsmith adds. “What I’m trying to do is create a culture of innovation where we can take a fresh look at everything we do, to see whether or not it’s a best practice or just a traditional practice. If we are already doing it in the best way, I don’t want to disturb it. But if we can find a better way to do it, then we need to start some new traditions.”
