Friends of the Rotary Club of Mobilong

The Rotary Club of Mobilong has introduced a Friends of Rotary (FOR) program designed for people who support the ideals of Rotary but who, for various reasons have not been able to continue with, or take on, Individual Membership.

The Friends program provides an avenue for non- Rotarians to remain or become connected with the Club and to become involved with and support our activities.

Friends of Rotary operates in the spirit of and expands upon the concept of "The Family of Rotary", who comprise both current members and all non-Rotarians who have had contact with, or been served by Rotary Clubs.  They include past Rotarians and the families of present and past Rotarians, together with past exchange students, Group Study Exchange team members and Rotary Youth Leadership Awardees.

Friends of Rotary support the work of Rotary in building community capacity and in enhancing outcomes for people through a range of corporate sponsorship.

The Friends Of Rotary program enables individuals and business organisations:

• To team up with the Club and give additional support to our Club activities.
• To participate in fund raising events and community service activities and/or to make donations to The Rotary Foundation-Charitable Trust Fund and the Club.

Whilst Friends have some but not all of the entitlements of Club membership, they are expected to abide by the Objects of Rotary and to live by the Four Way Test.
