Annual Report 2009

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Well a new year, a new decade & a new time for Rotary.
I hope you all had a relaxing Christmas break.

We have an exciting year planned with lots of fellowship & fun – beginning with
our Saturday BBQs at Officeworks, Parramatta Rd, Five Dock (near the Shell
service station) where we will definitely have some fun & fellowship. If you have
any spare time on Saturdays January 23rd and 30th and February 6th please let
Secretary Hilary know as she is doing the BBQ roster. After that we will let
other Clubs have a Saturday or two.

Our young Rotarians will be telling us their future plans for the year & we will be inducting Nicola
Varnier in as a young Rotarian on Wednesday 27th January.
In February we will have Paul Hanly speaking on Rhodes redevelopment & Greenpeace. Josmery
our Opera-singing Ambassadorial scholar will present on 10th February. We will also have another
exciting chapter in the Yajilara story with Jane Latimer. This will be a combined meeting &
definitely an evening for potential new members & partners. Please ask your potential new
members to join us on that or any other night.

If anyone has a nomination for the Pride of Workman award please forward them as soon as
possible to me – we already of one nomination from Canada Bay Council.
Thank you to all the club members who work hard to keep the club going.

Sylvia Shepherd
President
