The District 9750 Website Project

by Russell Paine - Project Chair

The response to this project has been absolutely phenomenal in the past four weeks, since the District
emailed club Presidents and Secretaries, as well as the presentation at the last Presidents meeting on
the 6th Feb. '09. (Thank you for your help Cheryl!).

We have had two training sessions and the feedback has been very positive. All of the new webmasters
have been able to learn the basics of web-publishing and some of the webmasters have leaped ahead
with light speed. The general consensus is that this website system provided to us by our fellow
Rotarians at RotaryNew.Info over in District 9680 is going to benefit our clubs and the district as a whole
in many, many ways.

The phone calls have been coming in with question from the webmasters, we have been responding to
the emails, and personal tutorial sessions have been set up to accommodate scheduling difficulties. It
is therefore a great feeling to see the progress that is taking shape as clubs in our district use their
websites to share their wonderful stories and better engage with their communities.

We are now working with 25 clubs who have joined the District9750 Website Project, which constitutes
nearly 50% of the clubs in our district. This project belongs to all of us now.

To the clubs that are yet to join us, let me encourage you to nominate a webmaster for your club and
place him/her in contact with me. Once I receive an email from your club President, I will email the login
details directly to your webmaster. The support team will be more than happy to assist your club’s
webmaster in getting started and on an ongoing basis.

Best regards,

Russell
