Sorry but the Honeywell Engineering Summer School for 2009 is full - but maybe you might know someone who will be in Year 11 next year 2010 and is interested in following a career in Engineering
Here is an opportunity for those interested in pursuing engineering as a career
The Honeywell Engineering Summer School (HESS) takes place in December each year and brings together 100 Year 11 students who are interested in pursuing engineering as a career. In past years students have come from all over NSW and the ACT, including regional and city centres such as Broken Hill, Tumbarumba and Inverell.
Throughout the week-long program, students are introduced to six universities, including University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, University of Western Sydney, University of Technology Sydney, Macquarie University, and University of Wollongong. The students are also taken behind the scenes of some major engineering companies and projects to see engineers at work.
HESS is a great experience full of practical engineering activities, a careers evening, and other evening social programs.
The HESS students are mentored by students from the host university (University of New South Wales) and accommodated at Sydney University Village (SUV), Newtown.
HESS is an initiative supported by Engineers Australia ( formerly Institute Of Engineers Australia),Sydney Division, Honeywell, NSW Engineering Universities and participating Rotary Districts.
The 2009 Honeywell Engineering Summer School is being held 6-11 December. For more information please contact Robyn Worthing on 02 9410 5612, or access the HESS brochure below.
