Engadine Rotary has donated a much needed bus to the Engadine High School Learning Support unit to transport their students to work placements, sporting and other activities
This project began just under 12 months ago when Special Support teacher Mrs Hooker approached Rotary for assistance to purchase a bus. Due to the persistance and tenacity of Rotarian Gary Richards and the assistance by Mrs Hooker and staff member Mrs Newman, a number of studies and selection were undertaken to come up with a solution that would meet their needs and which could be accommodated by Rotary.
On the 31st March last, the bus with new sign written logos, was officially presented at the school assembly to the School by the Rotary President Mrs Judith Steele, Mr Gary Richards and Mr Peter Ashton. School Principal Joanne Jarvis expressed the School's gratitude on behalf of the staff and students
From reported accounts the donation has been well received by a grateful and excited student body, who are now can travel safely to various locations.
