About Randwick Rotary

The Rotary Club of Randwick has been serving the local and international community since 1948.

It is part of Rotary International - a worldwide organisation of more than 1.2 million business, professional and community leaders.  Members of Rotary Clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

There are 33,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.  Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races and creeds.  As signified by the motto "Service above Self", Rotary's main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

Rotary promotes the ideal of service through fellowship.  Attending weekly club meetings allows members to enjoy the fellowship of other club members, enrich their professional and personal knowledge, and meet other business leaders in their community,

The main fund raiser of the Rotary Club of Randwick is the Kingsford Rotary Markets, held every Sunday.  This is a joint venture between the Rotary Clubs of Randwick and Maroubra, with proceeds being distributed to the projects of the two clubs.  Since the markets started over 20 years ago, more than $1.5 million has been raised by our Club for local and international projects.
