
Wendy joined the Rotary Club of Mobilong in District 9520 in 2005. She was President in 2006/07. Her positions at club level have been focussed in the areas of community development, major project initiatives, and the coordination of 2 GSE inbound teams and 2 long Term Youth Exchangees. She is a Paul Harris Fellow, Centurion and Faculty Member of the Rotary Leadership Institute. She has served on District as Chair of RYLA 2007-11, is the Coordinator for Club Visioning and Assistant Governor for Group 3.
Wendy is the Regional Manager for Southern Adelaide, Housing SA the state public housing authority. She is active in her community, holding positions on local government committees and working on projects that build community capacity and others which deliver public art. She sits on two Zone Emergency Management committees and is responsible for the implementation and coordination of “Recovery” programs following a natural disaster. Wendy commenced her work life in Adelaide as a social group worker with the then Social Welfare and Aboriginal Services department.
She has worked in the areas of social planning, community development, children’s services, and since 1992 has been with Housing SA in a number of managerial roles including regional services, marketing, contract management and real estate sales. Wendy is married to John (Jury) grazier with holdings in the eastern Mount Lofty Ranges. Together they have initiated a Land Care Group, operated an “international class” farm stay program and heritage listed unique rare and endangered flora. They have a melded family of five children and 3 grandchildren. Wendy’s passion is with community which sometimes leaves her time poor to fit in the others of travelling, theatre and fine arts. She enjoys fine food, cooking, walking, reading a crime thriller and time spent with family and friends.
