The 3 New Generations Chairs are conducting dialogue in anticipation of the re-districting of 9690, 9680 and 9750
Chairs Karalyn Brown (D9690), Peter Visser (D9680) and Paul Ward-Harvey (D9750) have identified the current New Generations programs and contemplated adjustments for the next few years.
Discussions regarding the following:
1. programs that are held in all 3 districts;
2. programs unique to each district;
3. programs that come under different committee in each district;
4. succession planning – how can we best manage the programs with re-districting; and
5. RALLY program mentioned by Peter to be more fully explored.
It is envisaged that there will be a meeting on Sunday, 27 November 2011 for the Chairs of all New Generation Programs in the three districts.
The prospects on “merger” are exciting, as each district has many common programs, but many differing features to be shared with one another, and also each district has some additional programs not conducted by the other. The meeting will seek contributions from all attendees.
For example D9690 can offer to us the programs of Pacific Australian Cultural Exchange (PACE), Recognition of Youth Awards (RYA), Rotary Youth Driver Awareness (RYDA) and we can offer to our new clubs RYSTARS, Short Term Exchange and others.
D9690 can offer us new and exciting venues for some of our activities eg Penrith Regatta Centre, Homebush Olympic Site etc.
We hope for a great attendance at the forum workshop to be held on Sunday, 27 November at St Bernadette’s School Castle Hill. This meeting is designed to be a discussion and brainstorming process as well as training and information.
