  • Boat Raffle Sales in Victor Harbor, Mt Compass and Goolwa
  • Receipt of several thousand dollars from boat raffle supporter, VH Suzuki
  • Garage sales of furniture and household goods
  • Book  sales
  • Collection of money for flood victims
  • Club Rotary Hat Day and Main Street Hat Day Collection with Rotary Club of Victor Harbor
  • Australian Fellowship of Golfing Rotarians

Donations

  • $2,000 to flood relief in  Queensland
  • $1,000 to flood relief in  Victoria
  • $2000 to VH Child Care Centre
  • $1,000 (Gold Sponsorship) to support the VH Triathlon
  • $4,000 to Southern Fleurieu Child Care Redevelopment (includes $2,000 from a Rotary District Simplified Grant)
  • $500 to the Cranio-Facial Foundation
  • $553 for Medical Information Booklets (Fridge).
  • $3,000 to earthquake relief in Christchrch$3,000 To Rotary for Japanese tsunami relief
  • $500 to support the Cooking for Blokes programme

Social Activities

  • New Year’s Barbeque
  • Visit to and  barbeque at the  VH Fire Station

  • Visit by  Recreational Vehicle Fellowship of Rotarians

Programmes Delivered or Supported

  • Visit of the Rotary Fellowship of Golfing Rotarians (with RC of VH)
  • Hosting of Rotary Youth Driver Awareness programme (with other Group 4 clubs)
  • Clean-up Australia Day
  • Web Training and upgrading of the club’s web-site

Preparation or Planning For

  • Further tree planting (with City of VH)
  • Two Victor Harbor High School students to attend the National Youth Science Forum
  • Hosting of the Group Study Exchange visit from Sweden
  • Hosting of a Belgian exchange student from July 2011  (with RC of VH)
  • New Rotary Year with 12 members attending the Rotary District 9520 Assembly at Waikerie
  • Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner? (a club social and fund-raising event)

Charter Members

Unfortunately for health reasons, Charter President Wal Bradley and Charter Member Ian Catt have resigned. The Club remains in regular contact with them and is appreciative of their long involvement with us.
