Club Service (2014 -2015)

The role of the Club Service Committee is to conduct activities associated with the effective operation of the club. It is only through efficient club operations that a Rotary club can provide service to its community, retain members and develop leaders for the club, district & Rotary International. To do this, we must ensure our weekly meetings are meaningful and run smoothly.

The Director Club Service is the Chairman of the Community Service committee & shall be responsible for all club service activities and shall supervise & coordinate the work of all sub-committees appointed on particular phases of club service.

In 2014-15 the sub-committees will ensure the following aspects are well managed:

  • Activities within Club Service that will assist the club to receive a Presidential Citation.
  • Fundraising
  • Attendance
  • Awards & Recognition
  • Welfare of members
  • Fellowship
  • Membership
  • Risk Management
  • Sergeant at Arms
  • Media & Publicity, including e-News & Photography
  • Program
  • Property Management
  • Website & Social Media
  • Public Officer
  • Catering Liaison
  • Historian

The Fundraising committee this year will manage the following “signature” events for the club in an attempt to raise $65,000:

  • Boat Raffle
  • Goolwa Markets
  • Port Elliot Markets
  • Wine sales
  • Cake Sales
  • 200 Club
  • Chair hire

Other activities will be considered as they arise.
