Vocational Service 2014 - 2015


The Role of the club is

1.     to implement and encourage the objectives of Rotary by its own actions in dealing with the community, and

2.     by the development of projects that enable members to use their vocational talents in the service of the community.

The Role of the members is

1.     to conduct themselves and their businesses in accordance with Rotary principles, and

2.     support the Vocational Service projects that the club has developed.



  • Speakers on topics from the business world.
  • Workplace visits.
  • Mock job interviews.
  • Road Safety programs in conjunction with RYDA
  • Men's Shed.
  • Monthly Trainee Awards and Trainee of the Year Award (details on the AWARDS Menu)

There are over 30,000 Rotarians in Australia and their ethical behaviours can impact on the population at large.

  • Honesty needs to be done and seen to be done.
  • Courtesy is a recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations.
  • Justice is about being treated fairly and respectfully.
  • Understanding in a multicultural population such as in Australia is at the core of living in harmony.

The focus for 2014 and 2015 will be the development of trainee Awards in conjunction with Victor Harbor Business Association and State Wide Group training. A budget of $5000 has been made available for this purpose.
