Helping Hands

BUILD A HAND - CHANGE A LIFE! There are approximately 384,000 persons worldwide who have lost a limb to landmines.
A great number of these are children who live in third world countries. We in the developed world have an opportunity to supply humanitarian aid to theses people in the form of a prosthetic hand and change their lives forever. Prosthetic hands cost $300.00 each and take two people approximately two hours to assemble. A facilitator is on hand to assist with assembly of the hand/s which consists of 34 pieces. The Rotary Club of Somerton Park has sponsored a number of hands in the past and is looking to continue this worthwhile cause. Rotary Australia Overseas Aid Fund has a Deductible Gift Recipient Registration and is listed as a charitable Fund for tax purposes. The challenge is to: BUILD A HAND - CHANGE A LIFE. Are you ready to accept this challenge and help under privileged victims of landmines to change their lives?
