The Rotary Club of Magill Sunrise has much pleasure in launching the inaugural showing of The Reel Event.
The Reel Event film night celebrates and displays some of the best artistic talent of
our own young South Australians.
The Rotary Club of Magill Sunrise invites you to attend
a very special night on Wednesday May 30th 2012
at the art deco Capri Cinema, Goodwood. < Map >
The programme for this evening is composed totally of short films created and produced by South Australians, the majority of whom are emerging filmmakers. Many of the films have won awards at a local or national level and have travelled to film festivals internationally, so we anticipate it will be a very special night.
Part of this night will include the work of one of our young Rotarians at Magill Sunrise, Kirsty Stark, who has just received the “Emerging Producer Award” at the 2012 South Australian Screen Awards.
Food and drinks will be provided in the foyer prior to the screening of the films. Following the films, the audience will be invited to participate in a Question and Answer session with the filmmakers about their work.
All proceeds from “The Reel Event” will go further Rotary's support for “Youth Opportunites”.
