Website and Facebook Policy

The Rotary Club of Gunnedah West website will be used to inform the world community of our club history, achievements and activities with the object of attracting new members or volunteers.

  1. The website will provide the names of our board members, meeting venue, meeting times and provide a telephone and email contact.
  2. The website will not display any personal information of members or volunteers such as full names (other than board members), addresses, dates of birth, telephone numbers or email addresses.
  3. The only photographs displayed will be those showing group service or social activities of the club. Individuals will not be identified with full names.
  4. The club bulletin, Kowandi, will not be displayed on the website.
  5. Links will be provided to Rotary International, Rotary Down Under, Rotary District 9650, other Rotary clubs in Gunnedah and the Gunnedah West Facebook page.
  6. The website will be updated at least quarterly.
  7. A member will be nominated by the board as Webmaster. The Webmaster and the club Secretary will have access to the website.

The Rotary Club of Gunnedah West Facebook page will promote a positive image of the club and its activities with the object of providing a forum for attracting new members, volunteers or collaborators.

  1. The Facebook page will have a clear link to the club website.
  2. The Facebook page will not display or store any personal information of members or volunteers such as full names, addresses, dates of birth, telephone numbers or email addresses.
  3. It is assumed that all members or volunteers have given their permission for their photo to appear on the Facebook page unless they have specifically requested that their photo not to be posted on Facebook.
  4. There will be no individual photos posted of members or volunteers who have specifically withdrawn their permission.
  5. Members will not be identified with full names on any photo posted.
  6. A member will be nominated by the board as Facebook Manager. Only the Manager and the club Secretary will have administrative access to the Facebook page.
