Three features of the formation of the club were:- |
|

1. The charter was granted within a record short time of four days due to the expertise of District . |

2. Epping was the last club formed within the boundary of the previous district 275. District 268 |
(the northern portion of the former district 275) came into existence 1st.July,1962. |

3. The club never met as a provisional club because the charter was granted so quickly. |
