A brief history of Chatswood Sunrise Rotary

The Rotary Club of Willoughby was chartered on 10 September 1985. The inaugural charter meeting was held on 11 October 1985. The first President was Warwick Bateman, then and now a member of the Rotary Club of Chatswood, the Club that chartered Willoughby.

Following proclamation of Willoughby as a City on 11 November 1989*, the club's name was changed to the Rotary Club of Willoughby City in 1992.

Up until mid-2001, the Club had met for lunch.

In 2000, the Club changed its name to Rotary Club of Chatswood Sunrise and commenced meeting for breakfast.
