Wollongong Baby Capsules
West Wollongong Rotary Club’s first and foremost project, Wollongong Baby Capsule Rental Service has been one of the major fundraising projects for the club since 1990 and continues to this day.
The service offers invaluable support for the community of Wollongong and the surrounding area. It is able to function with minimal costing to the customer due to the support of the SESIAHS who negotiate premises on the grounds of the Port Kembla Hospital for a nominal annual charge. They also support the service by purchasing a percentage of the capsules rented to the public.

Charles Hotel Raffle
The club is involved in an ongoing raffle at the Charles Hotel each week to boost our fundraising. Members visit the hotel each week to sell tickets to the clientele which are then drawn on the night. The management at the hotel are very supportive toward Rotary and subsidises part of the cost of the raffle.

Bowelscan
This project is a District project and aim at selling Bowelscan kits to the public with no financial remuneration to the clubs. With member support the kits are sold by our club at the Westfield Centre Figtree during the Bowelscan month. The kits are then dropped back to the local Chemist on completion and one of our members goes to the Chemists in our area and collects the kits and delivers them to Southern IML Pathology for testing. To date 215 people in the area have had positive diagnosis and have been followed up by the medical profession with excellent outcomes.

Citizenship
Through the Guidelines and advice of the Department of Immigration the club schedules a detailed and meticulous presentation night to welcome 10-12 new Australians. The new recipients recite the oath/affirmation. They are then presented with their Australian Citizenship Certificates by an appointed Government official such as the Lord Mayor or his replacement.

Interchange Barbeque
The club assists at a Barbeque for disadvantaged young people and their families held at Stuart Park each May. Our members donate their time to cook the BBQ thus ensuring the families have time to interact together.
