Ongoing Activities

In addition to all our service and  fundraising activities the club has a number of social activities to promote fellowship among members, families and friends.  Regular activities are:

The Great Debate
An annual event - different every year

Live theatre shows
Most recently we went to War Horse and the next one is South Pacific (Sept 21) -  contact Br ian
Restaurant nights
We enjoy sampling an international cuisine and visit Japanese, Indian, Italian and the TAFE cooking school.
Partner’s nights
These are encouraged on a regular basis and generally with an interesting guest speaker.
Special Occasion Dinners
We open the meeting to all family members for our Annual Change-Over in July and Christmas.

 Other social events include:
Car Rallies  We follow an instruction sheet and identify local landmarks.
Concerts at the Opera House
Trivia Nights held at the club
Arranging and manning Barbeques to assist the general public. . Rotarians are the master of great barbeques.
Working bees - recently at the Mount Kiera Lookout
Steam Train Ride to Robertson - While there we visited the Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk and lunched onsite at the restaurant.

Week-ends away
Our last adventure was to the wine region of Mudgee, where we visited vineyards in the area and sampled the local wines. We visited local highlights such as the Henry Lawson Museum at Gulgong and the monument preserving the remains of one of the houses where he had lived during his early lifetime.Our club is keen to support other Rotary club or the District with organised ventures.
