We induct FOUR new members!

It's not often that a club inducts 4 new members in one night. 
17 August 2015 was such night for us.

The top photo has Peter and Richard with their mentors

Richard Caldwell:

Richard was born and bred in S.A.

He attended Vale Park PRIMARY SCHOOL UNTIL 1978 and continued his education at Booborowie and Burra Community schools.

He was a leading hand in factories and he shifted to Melbourne 10 years ago.

He later started up in partnership with Peter Macaulay at the Athelstone post office 2 years ago

His interests include music, reading and cooking when the opportunity arises.

He is looking forward to getting involved in community work.

Our commiserations extend to him as he is an Essendon  AFL supporter.

 

Peter Macaulay

Peter was born in Echuca in Victoria and he has mostly lived in Melbourne

He has had a career in banking most of his working life having worked with the ANZ and Bendigo banks.

He decided on a career change and has moved into partnership at the Athelstone Post office with Rick, where they have been for the past 2 years.

His interests include tennis, cooking, cars mainly in marketing and design.

He has also expressed a desire to become involved in community work.

 

Peter and Richard are partners in life.


The bottom photo has Ruth and Hans with their mentors

 

Ruth and Hans have been married for 43 years with 2 adult children and 4 grandkids. Ruth is a Theatre nurse at the RAH and has been involved in many areas of surgical medicine.
Hans has now retired but worked in Real Estate as an agent and a valuer  for 40 years.

Collectively they have a wealth of Rotary experience ; Hans joined RC Mawson Lakes ( Sth Salisbury formerly) 33 years ago and has served as President twice and is a PHF. Ruth joined the same club in 1992 and been President three times and is also a PHF. They have attended many district conferences, 2 world conventions and been councillors for Youth Exchange. They also have a strong relationship the RC of Mobara,Chiba, Japan and been hosted by them on many occasions. We are confident they will have a long and fulfilling association with our club with much to contribute.
