ShelterBox - 2.6M of emergency shelter!
Over this past week, ShelterBox has distributed more than $1.2 million of emergency shelter to our disaster struck Pacific neighbours who have endured earthquakes, tsunamis and flooding. Add this to a previous month where ShelterBox responded to earthquakes and typhoons in Indonesia and the Philippines; massive flooding in West Bengal; a typhoon in China; hurricane in Mexico; and flash flooding in Niger.
In total, over the past five weeks, ShelterBox with the assistance of our fully trained ShelterBox Response Team members (SRT), Rotarians and their Clubs have assisted with the distribution of more than $2.6 million in emergency shelter to those most in need.
ShelterBox Australia SRT members and Rotarians Keith Robins, Hans Van Dyk, Gary Bidner, Mike Greenslade and Peter Pearce have all volunteered their time and expertise over the past six weeks to assist those who have lost everything.
