Our parent club, the Rotary Club of Turramurra sponsored the Rotary Club of Wahroonga which was chartered on the 25th November 1975.  In 1984, we switched from being a lunch club to become the First Rotary Breakfast Club in Australia.  In 1989 the club became incorporated.  The members of our club have been serving our community since 1975.   Our contributions range from:

Ø      Bringing to Sydney children from East Timor and Mongolia for life-saving heart operations.

Ø      Continuing assistance to the children with special needs at St Lucy’s and St Edmund's schools and Operation Hope at Vision Valley for underprivileged and at-risk children.

Ø      Support for many charities and to raising funds for medical research through the Australian Rotary Health Research Fund.

Ø      Assisting the Salvation Army on Red Shield Day and sponsoring attendees at Rotary organised events for young people such as national and state science summer schools.

Members of the Rotary Club of Wahroonga are either residents of the area, or with businesses or professional work in our area. Rotary is not just about Doing Good Things – it’s about having fun Doing Good Things. The members enjoy fellowship in activities such as sports days, home dinners, restaurant outings, theatre parties and fashion parades, as well as at their weekly meetings.
Members find that they can attend the club, breakfast with their friends, hear about club activities, then listen to an interesting guest speaker, and still have a full business day ahead.
