PRESIDENT'S WELCOME

Welcome to the web site of The Rotary Club of Corrimal.
I am honoured to be the President until the 30th June 2010.
Our Rotary Club is 50 Years old.
We are an active and enthusiastic club where the members enjoy each others company and are united in serving others.
We believe we are helping to make a difference in Corrimal, Wollongong, NSW, Australia and the World.
We are involved in local and International projects. Our major project is to help eliminate Polio from the world and as a result to-day 99% of the world is free of polio.
We also have families come to the Illawarra who have lost everything during the February 2009 Victorian bush fires as well as NSW farmers and their families who have suffered drastic droughts for many years. We with the support of the local community giving them a weeks holiday in our beautiful Illawarra.
They have and are going back to their temporary make shift  homes and farms knowing that their fellow Australians cared about them.
We are a group of men and women who pledge "Service Above Self", and we are the richer for it.

LET US BBQ FOR YOU


Our Club is able to cater for your barbecue needs, large or small, at competitive prices. Whether you gather as a small informal group or are planning a large state or national sporting event we are able to provide for your catering needs. We have a purpose-built mobile catering service including: 
    • A caravan with a five burner BBQ plate; 
    • Additional portable BBQ plates; 
    • Portable cool-room; 
    • A generator to provide electricity; 
    • Tea urns, bain maries and coffee machines. 
The club’s Public Liability insurance has a policy limit of $30 million and club members sign "Attachment 4 - Prohibited Employment Declaration" forms created by the NSW Commission for Children and Young People. Events where we sell food are registered with the NSW Food Authority.

So if you are planning an event where you require managed catering services, please consider the Rotary Club of Corrimal. Any profits are deployed on community projects both in Australia and overseas and all Club Members volunteer their time.
