Welcome from President Troy

As the newly elected President of the Rotary Club of Kogarah, it is my honour to follow in the steps of  47 Presidents before me in the long history of the Club. As  Immediate Past President Bob has said,

We pride ourselves as a very friendly and “laid-back” Club, enjoying our fellowship each Monday night in the pleasant surrounding of the St. George Motor Boat Club. Although we do have our fun times we are also active in many local and International Projects. These are listed under the tab Our Club.

We now have “Friends of Rotary " for those who would like to be involved in Rotary activities but are unable to commit to the regular attendance requirements of Rotarians. Follow the links for more ionformation. The City of  Kogarah  is just 15 minutes from Sydney Airport and 20 minutes from the CBD, close to Botany Bay with first class health services (St. George Hospital), accommodation and fine dining in the area. Visiting Rotarians are always most welcome as is anyone interested in learning more about Rotary and serving the community locally and world wide. We have a two course meal with our meeting with interesting guest speakers.

For Rotary, The Four-Way Test is the cornerstone of all action.
It has been for years, and it will be in the future.
Of the things we think, say or do
  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The test is one of the hallmarks of Rotary. Since it was developed in 1932 by Herbert J. Taylor, who later became RI president, it has never ceased to be relevant. Its four brief questions are not based on culture or religion. Instead, they are a simple checklist for ethical behavior. They transcend generations and national borders.
