Rotary Youth Enrichment Program 2010
This year over 90 young students from around Sydney attended the Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) held at the Tops Conference Centre, Stanwell Tops.
The program seeks to provide young people aged 14 to 16 years with the opportunity to develop their leadership potential through enhancement of their problem solving and coping skills in a range of challenging situations. A lot of fun is also had along the way.
Pictured are from left to right enthusiastic new friends that met on the program this year and were kindly sponsored by Maroubra Rotary Club.

Pride of Workmanship award
The Maroubra Rotary Club held a fantastic night of inspiration and
camaraderie at
the Maroubra Memorial Bowling Club last Monday 29th March.
The Pride
of Workmanship award night is Rotary’s way of honouring exceptional
members of
the local community. Each awardee receives public recognition as well as
a decorative
plaque (especially made and engraved) to treasure.
The Maroubra Rotary club feels it is important to pay tribute to
local people that
contribute in a real way to helping others through their chosen
vocation.
Rotary Club of Maroubra is supported by Randwick Council each year in
this event. Randwick Mayor, John Procopiadis,
was on hand this year to offer words of congratulations to the awardees.
The event organisers thanked the Maroubra Bowling Club for going the
extra mile to make the night a success. “They showed how a local
community based organisation can provide a professional level of good
food and service”, organisers said.
