Welcome to the web site of Rotary International District 9750.  I am honoured to be the Governor of this District until 30 June 2010.  Rotary was founded on the clear idea that if people of integrity, intelligence and vision joined together, they could achieve a great deal more than they could alone.  I have seen this many times when visiting a Rotary club or one of their many amazing projects.  As an example, I was greatly moved when, with thousands of other Rotarians from around the world, my wife and I participated in helping to eradicate polio during a National Immunisation Day in Mumbai, India.  In addition to serving mankind, Rotarians also develop business networks, leadership skills and new friendships whilst enjoying themselves.

If you are interested in donating money to Rotary, joining a Rotary Club, or using your skills to participate in one of our projects, or you would just like more information about Rotary, please contact me via this email.

Editor's Corner

Progress continues on many fronts as Rotarians across District 9750 continue to collaborate to deliver and fine-tune our integrated digital communications strategy and platform.

In Rotary years 2008-09 and 2009-10, the RotaryNews.Info Portal platform was implemented that will further serve our District's modern communications needs, as well as the 53 Clubs in District 9750 and the many Rotary Programs you support that deliver vital services to the community.

Looking to the future, we want to welcome the incoming District Communications Chair, Rtn. Cathy Mason, who brings a wealth of experience, both as a Rotarian and a talented online media professional to the District team.  Her appointment (and willingness to accept it!) means that there will be an increasing amount of fresh/new content on this website; meaningful communications will be able to be expanded between Rotarians, as well as to professionals in the community (not yet Rotarians) that want to put their talents to good use to help the community.

Model United Nations Assembly

MUNA simulates the workings of the United Nations Assembly by having teams of senior High School students represent a particular UN country in debates on matters of world political and social concern. Students are given the opportunity to research, develop their debating and public speaking skills and build their self-confidence by presenting on a wide range of contemporary world focussed issues.
