Welcome to the Rotary Club of Somerton Park

The Rotary Club of Somerton Park was chartered by Rotary International in April 1988. We are one of only three Breakfast Clubs in District 9520, with meetings starting at 7.00am on the first and 3rd Tuesday of each month and finishing at 8.15am. A short period of each meeting is allocated for club business, but the majority of the meeting time is dedicated to  hearing an interesting guest speaker and socialising.

We understand people lead busy lives and can't always attend. There is no pressure to meet a minimum attendance. We simply welcome any contribution you can manage to the club in helping our community and service projects.

Some of the activities of the Rotary Club of Somerton Park include:

  • Assisting local youth attending National Science and Technology Forums and leadership programs..

  • Giving ongoing support and encouragement to employees of a local sheltered workshop.

  • Supporting local charities such as Hutt St homeless and Blind Sporting Council SA.

  • Providing funds for the School of St Jude in Tanzania

  • Bridges Cambodia International teacher and student sponsorship

  • Active support for numerous programmes both within Australia and overseas.

  • Active supporters of Tutti Ensemble.

Of course it's not all work! We have a strong social program, members and their families are encouraged to be actively involved. We consider that service and social interaction are of equal importance, and that Rotary should be fun!
