What Rotary is all about

For the most recent details see us at our Facebook site

Rotary is a worldwide organisation of business, professional and community leaders. Clubs are non-political, non-religious and open to all cultures, races and creeds. Richly rewarding, Rotary gives you the opportunity to 'pay it forward' and to have a positive impact wherever you choose.
Becoming a Rotarian, allows you to develop business networking opportunities and building lifelong friendships. Rotarians experience personal growth in an organisation that is respected worldwide for its high values and standards.
The magic of Rotary is that it allows ordinary people to achieve the most extraordinary things. By using the powerful synergy of one, people unite to achieve exceptional change. Many ordinary members of Rotary have developed projects that have brought significant change whilst experiencing personal growth in an organisation that is respected worldwide for its high values and standards. Rotary International's motto 'Service Above Self' is best explained as the philosophy of unselfish volunteer service. It is a powerful and inspirational one which continues to inspire Rotations around the world to focus on the Avenues of Service

  • Club Service focuses on strengthening fellowship and ensuring the effective functioning of the club.
  • Vocational Service encourages Rotarians to serve others through their vocations and to practice high ethical standards.
  • Community Service covers the projects and activities the club undertakes to improve life in its community.
  • International Service encompasses actions taken to expand Rotary’s humanitarian reach around the globe and to promote world understanding and peace. Rotarians can support International Service by sponsoring a project in another country, seeking international project partners to support projects in their own communities, or by personally volunteering at an international project site.
  • New Generations Service recognizes the positive change implemented by youth and young adults through leadership development.
