From the President's Desk

Good Morning All,

At this time of the year it is time to reflect where all our Members are, how they are doing, and hopefully everyone is well and able to have a few days rest over the festive season.

Just thinking about the different seasons, some of our Members are deep in snow; some are in drought stricken areas in OZ; some are working on projects in inhospitable areas of the world and some will be enjoying Xmas in the surf and sun. No matter where you are, I would like to thank you for your dedication to Rotary, to this e-Club and to the projects you are working on.

This club has had a great year just gone, this really is a reflection based on the calendar year and Rotary international must also be having record results because we, our Members, like every other Rotarian I know have given to help others, we are all part of Rotary International.

Jan and Leigh, Ing and others will be busy with the Christmas lunch once again in Southport, a magnificent annual project with immeasurable goodwill and happiness but I will not steal Jan's great news story for January, I just wish them the very best on this day.

The Christmas cakes and puddings have arrived and are been distributed and sold; this will add money to the Foundation account. Late in January we have another Bunnings BBQ, along with RYLA in the last week of January as well.  Projects for the 2015 calendar year are well underway and we have a great opportunity with Tara taking the Presidents role in July 2015 as we move on to our third President.  I am so impressed we have a young President moving forward and this Club is so flexible that we can be where we need to be to get these and any projects off the ground. A busy club is a great club in every respect from my experience.

I would like to thank the incoming team for standing up to go forward, this was an easy election and some have already taken up their new roles, thank you very much.

I know 2015 is going to be a very busy year in my working life and also for many others too. I wish you all a very happy and joyous Christmas and a prosperous New Year and lots of fun in 2015. Until we meet again stay safe and enjoy life.

Best wishes

Geoff
