Community Knitters

Thank you to the wonderful ladies of
Taylors Lakes Knitters in Melbourne who have been busily knitting away
making fish 'n' chip vests for the babies of Africa. Along with this
photo of the ladies I also received this email:
"My Mother, and some of her friends at
the retirement village she calls home, have been industriously
exercising themselves and their fingers in producing "Fish and Chip"
baby jumpers to your pattern published on the Facebook page.
Mum is 94, and the average age of the knitters is around the 90's.
At present there are 21 jumpers, comprised of 17 "normal size" and 4
smaller. They're all in an amazing range of colours and beautifully
knitted".

Another parcel arrived, thank you to Ann from Preston in Melbourne. She
is a friend of President Tara's Mum and regularly sends us new knitted
items and has also been so kind as to send us patterns for the newer
items.

Lesley also received a package of beautiful fish 'n' chip vests from
Joan in Canberra. We would also like to thank Joan very much, her card
read, "Please find enclosed jumpers made with love for your tiny
babies".

Today
I picked up three rubbish sized bags full of wonderful knitted items from the
Studio Village Community Centre Knitting Group. Such lovely ladies
with big hearts.
Isn't that just beautiful! :) This is such an awesome Project.
