From the President's Desk

Dear e-Club Member, Rotarians and Friends of Rotary,

The weeks are flying by and it is only a few days away from the District 9640 Conference, 12-14thof April, 2013. It is a huge event and this year has fantastic Guest Speakers and Exhibitors.

"The Conference is held for you, to bring us all together to enjoy fellowship and celebrate the wonderful work achieved in the current Rotary year", DG Sandra Doumany.

It is not too late; please make sure you register NOW at: http://www.rotary9640conference.org/

Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) is asking us to send them our tweens!

"It is that time of the year again that we ask each club to source and sponsor applicants. These applications should be chosen on the basis of their personal qualities. They do not have to be outstanding students but young people who would benefit from being able to develop their personal qualities and skills". Camp date: Friday May 3- Sunday May 5th, 2013.

We have one application already but were hoping to send two this year. Please download the application form.

Thank you to Wendy for a wonderful presentation last Tuesday at our Forum. It is awesome finding out the amazing things our Members have done previously. Wendy has kindly given us a link to her presentation if you were otherwise busy.

I think we would all enjoy being a part of such a fabulous initiative in the future.

This week's Forum Guest Speaker is Cherie Bunting from Saint Stephens College on the Gold Coast and her topic is Autism in Schools. This coincides perfectly with 'April is Autism Awareness Month'.

If you have daylight savings to worry about, our time is exactly the same Tuesday, 8pm Qld time, look forward to catching up.

See you at the District Conference remember Ingrid is the official photographer and so don't forget to smile; Chris will be running the Ause-safare display, so go up and have a chat or I might see you around the pool on Friday Night.
